Meet Your Hosts

Your hosts Mary Lou and Alan were born and raised in the fishing communities of York Harbour and Lark Harbour and have been working in the fishery for over 35 years. Alan is a third-generation fisherman and they’ve also operated Cooks B&B and Cottages for nearly 20 years. They love the local history, and they are immersed in the lifestyle of the Bay of Islands. And while they give their guests ample space to enjoy the tranquility of the area, they’re always willing to answer questions and share stories!
